Project: World Medical Conference Centre
Location: Beijing, China
Cost: Approx $150 000 000 (CAD)
Date: Under construction

Currently, the largest of GBCA's overseas projects is the World Medical Conference Centre in Beijing. Rising to a height of 28 storeys and with a total floor area of 840,000 square feet (80,000 m²), the project is projected to be a landmark project along the city's southest ringroad, overlooking the historic Liang Tan Park.

The project is conceived as an important new centre for the publication and dissemination of current medical knowledge from around the world. In response, GBCA drew on biological and medical references to guide the design of the structures, spaces and circulation.

Programmed as a mixed use development, the project will consist of three interrelated functions, an 8 storey Conference Centre, the Business Centre Offices and a fully serviced Five Star Hotel. The project is further served by an extensive Entertainment Complex. Projected completion date is 2008.
